Titre : Applying UML and patterns : An Introduction To Object-Oriented Analysis And Design And Iterative Development Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Craig LARMAN, Auteur Mention d'édition : 3rd ED. Editeur : Pearson Education Année de publication : 2005 Importance : XXV, 703 p. Présentation : ill. Format : 26 cm ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-0-13-148906-6 Note générale : Applying UML and Patterns : An Introduction to Object-Oriented Analysis and Design and Iterative Development 3rd
This edition contains Larman's usual accurate and thoughtful writing. It is a very good book made even better." Alistair Cockburn, author, Writing Effective Use Cases and Surviving OO Projects "Too few people have a knack for explaining things. Fewer still have a handle on software analysis and design. Craig Larman has both." John Vlissides, author, Design Patterns and Pattern Hatching "People often ask me which is the best book to introduce them to the world of OO design. Ever since I came across it Applying UML and Patterns has been my unreserved choice." Martin Fowler, author, UML Distilled and Refactoring "This book makes learning UML enjoyable and pragmatic by incrementally introducing it as an intuitive language for specifying the artifacts of object analysis and design.
It is a well written introduction to UML and object methods by an expert practitioner." Cris Kobryn, Chair of the UML Revision Task Force and UML 2.0 Working Group A brand new edition of the world's most admired introduction to object-oriented analysis and design with UML Fully updated for UML 2 and the latest iterative/agile practices Includes an all-new case study illustrating many of the book's key points Applying UML and Patterns is the world's #1 business and college introduction to "thinking in objects"and using that insight in real-world object-oriented analysis and design. Building on two widely acclaimed previous editions, Craig Larman has updated this book to fully reflect the new UML 2 standard, to help you master the art of object design, and to promote high-impact, iterative, and skillful agile modeling practices. Developers and students will learn object-oriented analysis and design (OOA/D) through three iterations of two cohesive, start-to-finish case studies. These case studies incrementally introduce key skills, essential OO principles and patterns, UML notation, and best practices. You won't just learn UML diagramsyou'll learn how to apply UML in the context of OO software development.
Drawing on his unsurpassed experience as a mentor and consultant, Larman helps you understand evolutionary requirements and use cases, domain object modeling, responsibility-driven design, essential OO design, layered architectures, "Gang of Four" design patterns, GRASP, iterative methods, an agile approach to the Unified Process (UP), and much more. This edition's extensive improvements include A stronger focus on helping you master OOA/D through case studies that demonstrate key OO principles and patterns, while also applying the UML New coverage of UML 2, Agile Modeling, Test-Driven Development, and refactoring Many new tips on combining iterative and evolutionary development with OOA/D Updates for easier study, including new learning aids and graphics New college educator teaching resources Guidance on applying the UP in a light, agile spirit, complementary with other iterative methods such as XP and Scrum Techniques for applying the UML to documenting architectures A new chapter on evolutionary requirements, and much more Applying UML and Patterns, Third Edition, is a lucid and practical introduction to thinking and designing with objectsand creating systems that are well crafted, robust, and maintainable.Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : 000 Généralités:Programmation, programmes, organisation des données, logiciel:Programmation Index. décimale : 005.1 Applying UML and patterns [texte imprimé] : An Introduction To Object-Oriented Analysis And Design And Iterative Development / Craig LARMAN, Auteur . - 3rd ED. . - [S.l.] : Pearson Education, 2005 . - XXV, 703 p. : ill. ; 26 cm.

Présentation : ill. Format : 24.5 cm ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-0-84937-255-1 Note générale : The concept of aware systems is among the most exciting trends in computing today, fueled by recent developments in pervasive computing, including new computers worn by users, embedded devices, smart appliances, sensors, and varieties of wireless networking technology. Context-Aware Pervasive Systems: The Architecture of a New Breed of Applications introduces a diverse set of application areas and provides blueprints for building context-aware behavior into applications.
Reviewing the anatomy of context-aware pervasive applications, this resource covers abstract architecture. It examines mobile services, appliances, smart devices, software agents, electronic communication, sensor networks, security frameworks, and intelligent software agents. The book also discusses the use of context awareness for communication among people, devices, and software agents and how sensors can be aware of their own situations. Exploring the use of physical context for controlling and enhancing security in pervasive computing environments, this guide addresses mirror worlds and elucidates design perspectives based on a declarative programming language paradigm.
This carefully paced volume presents a timely and relevant introduction to the emergence of context-aware systems and brings together architectures and principles of context-aware computing in one source.Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 005.1 Résumé : In: Books24x7. About the Author
Brett McLaughlin is a bestselling and award-winning non-fiction author. His books on computer programming, home theater, and analysis and design have sold in excess of 100,000 copies. He has been writing, editing, and producing technical books for nearly a decade, and is as comfortable in front of a word processor as he is behind a guitar, chasing his two sons and his daughter around the house, or laughing at reruns of Arrested Development with his wife.
Brett spends most of his time these days on cognitive theory, codifying and expanding on the learning principles that shaped the Head First series into a bestselling phenomenon. He's curious about how humans best learn, why Star Wars was so formulaic and still so successful, and is adamant that a good video game is the most effective learning paradigm we have.
Gary Pollice is a self-labeled curmudgeon (that's a crusty, ill- tempered, usually old man) who spent over 35 years in industry trying to figure out what he wanted to be when he grew up. Even though he hasn't grown up yet, he did make the move in 2003 to the hallowed halls of academia where he has been corrupting the minds of the next generation of software developers with radical ideas like, "develop software for your customer, learn how to work as part of a team, design and code quality and elegance and correctness counts, and it's okay to be a nerd as long as you are a great one." Gary is also a co-author of Head First Object-Oriented Analysis and Design.Gary is a Professor of Practice (meaning he had a real job before becoming a professor) at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He went to WPI because he was so impressed with the WPI graduates that he's worked with over the years. He lives in central Massachusetts with his wife, Vikki, and their two dogs, Aloysius and Ignatius. When not working on geeky things he ... well he's always working on geeky things. You can see what he's up to by visiting his WPI home page at http://web.cs.wpi.edu/~gpollice/. Feel free to drop him a note and complain or cheer about the book.
Dave West would like to describe himself as sheik geek. Unfortunately no one else would describe him in that way. They would say he is a professional Englishman who likes to talk about software development best practices with the passion and energy of an evangelical preacher. Recently Dave has moved to Ivar Jacobson Consulting, where he runs the Americas and can combine his desire to talk about software development and spread the word on rugby and football, and argue that cricket is more exciting that baseball. Before running the Americas for Ivar Jacobson Consulting, Dave worked for a number of years at Rational Software (now a part of IBM). Dave held many positions at Rational and then IBM, including Product Manager for RUP where he introduced the idea of process plug-ins and agility to RUP. Dave still laments the days when he use to sit in a cube and write software in the city of London. This is where he believes he cut his teeth writing big insurance systems with nothing but a green screen and a process flow chart.
Dave can be contacted at dwest@ivarjacobson.com, and if he is not with customers or drinking warm beer with his friends in Boston, he will email you back.Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : 000 Généralités:Programmation, programmes, organisation des données, logiciel:Programmation Index. décimale : 005.1 Head First Object-Oriented Analysis and Design [texte imprimé] : A Brain-Friendly Guide to OOA &D / Brett McLAUGHLIN, Auteur; Gary POLLICE, Auteur; David WEST (1948-....), Auteur . - O'Reilly, cop. 2007 . - 1 vol.
